Descriptions

This fund was established by Mrs. Denham's family in honor of her lengthy and valued career in the Abilene Independent School District. An award is made annually to a graduating Abilene High Eagle from an economically disadvantaged background who demonstrates promising academic achievement. Applications may be obtained from school counselor or downloaded below.

Students Eligible to Apply

To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must be an Abilene High graduating senior, having attended Abilene High School for two academic years and demonstrates promising academic acheivement despite an economically disadvantaged background. The applicant's potential for success in a college environment will be considered in selecting the recipient of the award.

Due to certain requirements and paperwork, Cooper and AHS deadlines MAY BE DIFFERENT (earlier) than the final deadlines on the CFA applications in order to allow students ample time to complete. Check with your counselor for your high school deadline!
